Economy
- Tokyo's economy is a very important part of its infrastructure, as the city heavily relies on its technology industry to fuel it. Tokyo, and many other Japanese cities with it, specialize in making technology for consumer use. This includes manufacture of electronic apparatus, transport equipment, automobiles, cameras and optical goods, furniture, textiles, and a wide variety of consumer items, as well as publishing and printing.

Tourism
- Tourism in Tokyo is also a major industry. In 2006, 4.81 million foreigners and 420 million Japanese visits to Tokyo were made. While Tokyo only has a few significant landmarks, the many districts thrive with lots of restaurants, snack stalls, clothing shops, and the like. But there are many significant aspects of Tokyo that make it unique, such as the Tokyo Tower, which is a large orange and white tower built in 1958 designed to broadcast television to the citizens of Tokyo, but is now a popular tourist attraction. The Tokyo Skytree is also a significant landmark, as it is now the tallest tower in the world, overtaking Canton Tower in Guangzhou and is the second largest building in the world behind Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

- While Tokyo's culture is very modernized, it still has plenty of culture remaining from its past ages, such as the feudal age and the Classical age. Such as geisha (people who dress as performers from past ages, and performances that originate or are based on ancient traditions. There are also many temples around Tokyo and Japan, where many people go to pray or for blessings.
